こちらの作品は、オリジナルで制作した木製フレームの鏡になります。 
 
HOME ECONOMICS EXPERIMENT は、新型コロナウイルスによってもたらされたstay homeの期間を過ごす中、パーソナルな室内空間の重要性と自由度の高さを再認識したことをきっかけに2020年に活動を開始した名古屋を拠点とする男女2人のアートユニットです。 

彼らは、家政学の考え方に実験的な制作手法とサスティナブルな視点を加えることによってクリエーションを行い、生活空間に新たな可能性を提示することをコンセプトとして活動しています。 
廃材や廃棄寸前のUSEDの家具に様々な加工を施すことで、新たな価値を付与した一点モノのアイテムに生まれ変わり、オリジナルファブリックを用いて制作した寝具やクッションなどは、量販店にはない独自の日用品を生み出しています。 

「家庭生活を中心とした日常の中での人間と環境の相互作用について、人的、物的両面から、自然・社会・人文の諸科学を基盤として研究している。」と、彼らは話しています。 
今回の展示では、室内空間を構成するモノが持つ要素を抽出・可視化して分析することによって、創作された作品を発表します。それらは、私達の身近にあるモノの存在意義を見つめ直すきっかけとなるでしょう。
