Abstract

The research deals with job stability in times of covid-19. Its main objective is to determine the legal development of the state to contain the Covid-19 Pandemic in terms of the labor environment and the regulations that guarantee Labor Stability. Such an approach is justified in the different contexts in recent years, such as changes in the world economy and independent events in each country, which have led to the debate regarding the flexibilization of labor law and whether or not this favors stability in the workplace. the job. To this is now added the social and economic impact that COVID-19 has generated and the measures adopted by the National Government. For this, the National Constitution, the Labor Code, Decree 3442/20 and other special regulations issued by the government to deal with the pandemic were used as analysis tools. The document review method was used through an updated systematic investigation of newspaper articles, which describes the updates of the decrees, corresponding to the measures adopted by the Government to contain the spread of covid-19. It is important to highlight that the International Labor Organization (ILO) estimates that 42.4% of employment is in high-risk sectors and another 16.5% in medium-high risk sectors. The probability that workers will see their working hours reduced, suffer pay cuts or lose their jobs is high (ILO 2020).
