NATIONAL SCIENCE AND INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE

Abstract

After an arduous process of editorial review and peer reviews, to whom we are deeply grateful for all their dedication to the fulfillment of the temporary goals of this journal, Volume 13, Number 2, of the journal La Saeta Universitaria, Académica y de Investigación is published.
Continuing with the upward trend in terms of the number of manuscripts received, 25 on this occasion, even with 4 in queue for the next volume, Volume 13 Number 2 leaves 4 scientific articles at the service of the scientific and non-scientific community, 3 of which are from Paraguay. The remaining one is from Peru. On the one hand, it is worth noting that the 3 local scientific articles cover areas such as education, technology and science, a good indicator for local science, even more so when dealing with researchers categorized in the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology of Paraguay (SISNI-CONACYT), but also with the presence of researchers who are beginning to make their way and are even from cities other than the capital, where most of the categorized researchers are concentrated. On the other hand, it is worth noting that one article from Peru is published, but articles from countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and Mexico have arrived. This aspect reflects the international visibility of the journal, which also serves to enhance the reach of local research. Regarding the published articles, they are the following:
• From the National University of Asunción (UNA) under the authorship of Edith Segovia-Corrales, Romina Arrúa, Hajime Kurita, Rosa Oviedo de Cristaldo and Líder Ayala, the article “SAFETY ASSESSMENT OF SOYBEANS EXPOSED TO GLYPHOSATE USING IN VIVO ASSAY” deals with the main economic crop of Paraguay: soybeans. It presents important conclusions after having carried out tests to evaluate the mutagenic effect of three varieties of soybeans.

• From the National University of Canindeyú (UNICAN) under the authorship of Yessica Yerutí Meza Ortiz, María Verónica Mena Caballero, Nazario Luis Ayala Frasnelli and Antonio David Ruiz Díaz Medina, the article “DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE FOR THE REGISTRATION AND MONITORING OF ATTENDANCE FOR PRACTICAL CLASSES” describes the entire process of design and development of a technology, which in turn was evaluated and resulted in an adequate solution for the academic procedure discussed.

• From the National University Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza in Amazonas and the National Intercultural University Fabiola Salazar Leguía in Bagua (Peru), the article “CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE TARIMAT PUJUT OF NARRATION: CHINKI TAKATNUM KAJERNAIRAMU / THE DISCORD OF THE FOUR BROTHERS” deals with a topic related to the ancestral narratives of the Amazonian indigenous peoples, explaining the meaning of “living well” according to these peoples.

• From the Universidad Iberoamericana de Paraguay (UNIBE), authored by Rodolfo Elías, José María Castillo, Eduardo Velázquez, Álvaro Romero and Alejandra Ruiz Díaz, the article “PERCEPTION OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS ABOUT THEIR EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN ASUNCIÓN AND THE CENTRAL DEPARTMENT OF PARAGUAY” analyzes the perceptions about the educational system and the future projection of a fundamental social group for Paraguay today: youth. The conclusion is clear: the school is far removed from the interests and lives of young people.

Thus, this issue is for the consideration of the academic community and society as a whole, which invites us to rethink aspects that make up the systemic functioning of the society we live in.
